Dustin Johner - Head Coach, U13 AA Stars

The St. Albert Raiders are excited to announce that Dustin Johner has been named the head coach of the U13 AA Stars.

With a career spanning over two decades in professional hockey, Dustin brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization. Dustin has over 20 years of professional hockey experience, including time in the WHL with the Seattle Thunderbirds, AHL, ECHL, and top European leagues. He concluded his playing career with the Belfast Giants in 2019.

As a coach, Dustin brings with him a deep understanding of the game and a passion for developing the next generation of hockey talent.

Dustin is Development 1 certified and recently served as the Head Coach of the U11 AA Jr Raiders in 2024–25. We are thrilled to have him continue his coaching journey with the Raiders program.

Ryan Hawtin – Head Coach, U13 AA Saints

We’re excited to welcome Ryan Hawtin as the Head Coach of the U13 AA Saints for the upcoming season. Ryan brings several years of head coaching experience and holds his Development 1 certification, Coach 1, Coach 2, Checking Skills, and Safety, all demonstrating his ongoing commitment to coaching excellence.

Known for his passion for the game and strong belief in player development, Ryan is focused on helping athletes reach their full potential, both on and off the ice. He creates a positive learning environment where players are encouraged to grow, take on challenges, and build confidence through hard work and teamwork. Known for his meticulous approach and strong focus on team culture, Ryan prepares and motivates his players by balancing individualized coaching with a consistent emphasis on collective success every time they hit the ice.
