U13 AAA Eagles, U15 AAA Sabres, and U18 AAA Raiders
The St. Albert Raiders utilize two primary player identification environments each year to support the evaluation and selection of players for our AAA programs: the Spring Selection Camp and the Fall Identification Skate.
Spring Selection Camp
This is a more focused evaluation environment designed for players who have been identified as potential AAA candidates this season or in future seasons. As such, participation in the Spring Selection Camp is by invitation only. Invitations will be extended to players currently competing in the following divisions:
U13 AAA: 2014 (AAA), 2014 (AA), 2014(T1), 2015 (AA)
U15 AAA: 2012 (AAA), 2012 (AA), 2012 (T1), 2013 (AAA), 2013 (AA)
U18 AAA: 2011 (AAA), 2010 (AA/AAA), 2009 (AAA/AA)
*Head Coaches at each level may, at their discretion, extend invitations to players outside of the divisions listed above.
AAA Fall ID
All players who reside within the Raiders recruitment area remain eligible to attend an open AAA Fall ID skate in August. This open skate provides an opportunity for any eligible player to be evaluated and considered for the AAA program.
This approach allows our AAA coaching staff to evaluate players in a concentrated, high-intensity environment and supports more informed decisions as part of the overall player identification process.
Registration opens on May 1st for the Fall ID camp.
Player Commitments
Roster commitments may be extended to players attending the Spring Identification Camp. The number of players selected will vary by division and remains at the discretion of the Head Coach.
Main Camp
After the Spring Selection Camp, select players will be invited to continue to attend AAA Main Camp in the fall; any player not selected will move to AA tryouts.
