Head Coach – U18 AAA Female Program


We are excited to open applications for the Head Coach of our U18 AAA Female Program.

This leadership role plays a pivotal part in shaping the players' experience, team culture, and competitive success of our top female athletes.


The ideal candidate is a committed leader who brings energy, professionalism, and a passion for high-performance female hockey. This coach will guide all on-ice and off-ice elements of the program, support players in their post-secondary goals, and help build an environment where players can thrive.


What You’ll Lead


Practice Planning & On-Ice Development

• Deliver weekly practices focused on skill development, systems, and team structure

• Use video, feedback, and female-specific coaching methodologies

• Continually refine plans using elite-level resources and teaching strategies


Game Preparation & Execution

• Complete scouting and video prep for each opponent

• Establish game plans and lead in-game adjustments

• Provide post-game feedback and development direction


Video Analysis & Team Meetings

• Prepare weekly video sessions

• Reinforce team concepts and individual development priorities


Post-Secondary Support

• Support players goal to pursue NCAA/USPORTS pathways

• Work closely with the GM to communicate with university programs and scouts

• Collaborate with the program’s GM to guide families on eligibility, timelines, and next steps


Team Culture & Leadership

• Lead culture-building initiatives

• Set standards and expectations that reflect program values

• Foster an inclusive, competitive, and respectful environment

 

Coaching Staff Leadership

• When required, recruit and mentor assistant coaches and support staff

• Build a collaborative, high-performance coaching team

• Lead regular staff meetings and development planning


Operations, Travel & Commitment

• Work with Operations on billets, budgets, tournaments, and road-trip logistics

• Travel for league play and tournament weekends


Recruitment & Long-Term Development

• Work closely with GM to conduct ongoing player identification and relationship-building

• Support spring and summer development programming

• Collaborate with GM on long-term athlete identification strategies


Player & Parent Communication

• Provide Individual Development Plans (IDPs), progress updates, and host ongoing player meetings

• Work with the GM to host seasonal family check-ins


*Players are the first point of contact in all AAA programs: communication with parents is limited to seasonal meetings; the GM and Operations Director act as the primary point of contact for families.


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coaching U18 AAA, Junior, NCAA/USPORTS, or high-performance programs

• Strong understanding of female hockey development pathways

• High Performance 1 (completed or in progress)

• Proven leadership, communication, and player-development skills

• Proficiency with video analysis tools (e.g., InStat)

• Strong network within the female hockey community
