U13 AAA Eagles

Head Coach, Derek MacMillan 

Derek has a tremendous passion for hockey and is enthusiastic about the future growth and development of hockey in St. Albert.

He started his coaching career in 2002 with the St. Albert U18 AAA Raiders and has continued to coach within the Association, accumulating 15 years of experience across multiple divisions.

In 2023 - 2024 Derek served as the Head Coach of the Raiders U13 AA Female team in its inaugural season and was also the Head Coach of the U13 AAA Eagles in their first season.

Derek's Hockey Canada qualifications include Coach 1, Coach 2, Safety and Checking Skills, and Development 1. Recently, Derek was accepted in to the High Performance Coaching Program and will be HP1 certified within the next 12-months.
