The St. Albert Raiders are proud to announce that Kennedy Ganser has been named Head Coach of the U18 AAA Slash, becoming the first female Head Coach in the franchise’s history.

Kennedy brings an exceptional playing background and a strong foundation of coaching experience at the highest levels of the game.
Originally from Provost, Alberta, she played five seasons with the University of Alberta Pandas while completing her Bachelor of Education, before advancing to the professional ranks with two seasons in the PHF with the Buffalo Beauts and Metropolitan Riveters.
Following her playing career, Kennedy transitioned behind the bench and recently completed her third season as an Associate Coach with the Pandas, contributing to a National Championship-winning program.
She is currently in year two of her HP1 certification and continues to gain recognition within the high-performance coaching community. This past year, she was invited as a guest coach to an Edmonton Oilers development camp and was featured as a member of the NHLCA Female Coaches Program.
Off the ice, Kennedy works as a teacher and Hockey Academy Instructor at Holy Redeemer Catholic School, reinforcing her commitment to athlete development both on and off the ice.
Kennedy’s appointment completes an exceptional high-performance coaching staff for the Slash program, including Mike Fiorillo and Sandro Pisani, alongside Technical Skating Coach Vanessa Hettinger, Goaltending Coach Kurtis Mucha, Skills Coach Umberto Fiorillo and Strength and Conditioning Coach Ryan Vigneau. Together, this group brings extensive experience and a unified commitment to developing players at the highest level.
We are confident that Kennedy will build a program that not only competes at the highest level but also supports the long-term development and success of our players.
Please join us in welcoming Kennedy to her new role with the Raiders.
