Resident Registration
St. Albert Minor Hockey Association administers St. Albert Raiders player registrations. Players and coaches in the St. Albert Raiders are members of the St. Albert Minor Hockey Association. Players who reside within the boundaries of St. Albert Minor Hockey Assocation are eligible to register as resident players. The transaction includes Tryout Fee and Program Fee.
Non-Resident Registration
Non-resident registrants do not reside within the St. Albert Minor Hockey Assocation boundary but do live within the Hockey Alberta Draw Zone/Recruitment Area. Boundaries differ for male, female, AAA and AA programs. Learn more.

PROGRAM FEES
TRYOUT FEE
All players who would like to tryout for the St. Albert Raiders program are required to pay a $250 non-refundable tryout fee. This amount increases by $100 after July 11th. Players who start the tryout process at AAA can expect to participate in a minimum of three tryout skates and a minimum of one AA tryout. Players starting at AA must notify the Assocation (registrar@samha.ca) and can expect to participate in a minimum of three tryout skates.
RAIDERS PROGRAM FEE
Each season the Association establishes general registration rates that are commensurate with the program's operation in all divisions and levels of play. Players who are selected for a Raiders team will pay a Raiders Program Fee. The St. Albert Raiders Program Fee is used to pay for the cost of jerseys, socks, game equipment, player development, insurance, league fees and program administration. If the Association registration fee is not fully utilized, it is returned to the team at the end of the season. Rate increases by $200 after July 11th. TEAM FEES
Each Raiders team is responsible for managing the expenses associated with the team. These expenses may include and are not limited to:

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Minor hockey costs are growing every year, and it is important for all families to have access to resources that can help support their involvement in hockey. Financial assistance is available through various agencies.
MOVING TO ST. ALBERT
If you have recently moved within the St. Albert Minor Hockey Association draw zone, you must complete the Hockey Alberta Parent Declaration form. Please include registrar@samha.ca on the Parent Declaration form; this ensures we receive notice of your intention to transfer. We will send an email confirming that we have received the required documents and initiate your transfer.
PROOF OF RESIDENCY: Proof of residency is mandatory. TWO documents with your name and residential address within our boundary zone. For example, drivers license, utility bill etc. If required, additional documentation may be requested.
BOUNDARY
St. Albert Minor Hockey Association provides Minor Hockey programs for families residing within the boundaries established by Hockey Alberta. All registrants must provide proof of residency to register in all St. Albert Minor Hockey Association programs.
REFUND POLICY
Association POLICY 2.1.4 REFUND OF FEES
(A) St. Albert Minor Hockey Assocation must receive formal written notice; an online application for refund form must be completed. A minimum administration fee of $75 will be deducted from all refunds.

Refunds made before participation in tryouts/evaluations will be 100% of registration fees, less the administration fee.

Refunds made after players participate in tryouts/evaluations will be 75% of paid registration fees, less the administration fee.

Refunds made after team selection will be 50% of registration fees, less the administration fee.

Refunds made after November 1 will be 25% of fees, less the administration fee.

St. Albert Raiders players will receive a 100% refund of registration fees, less the administration fee, should they secure a place on a team in a Hockey Canada-sanctioned program outside of the Association prior to the start of the season.

Tryout and ID Camp fees are non-refundable.
(B) No refunds will be issued after January 10.
(C) Players suspended for disciplinary reasons shall be ineligible for a refund of fees.
