St. Albert Raiders
The St. Albert Raiders are seeking an experienced and motivated Head Coach for our U17 AAA program for the upcoming season.
This position plays a critical role within our high-performance pathway and serves as an important development stage for players preparing for U18 AAA and Junior level opportunities.
The U17 AAA program is designed to provide a competitive and development-focused environment for athletes as they progress through the Raiders system.
The Head Coach will work closely with the Association’s Director of Development and program leadership to deliver a consistent player development experience aligned with the Raiders’ standards and values. This role will also collaborate closely with U18 AAA Head Coach Geoff Giacobbo and U15 AAA Head Coach Ryan Wilkinson to ensure alignment across the program and support the continued development of players within the Raiders pathway.
We are seeking a coach who brings strong leadership, extensive hockey knowledge, and a commitment to developing both players and people within a high-performance environment.
Responsibilities
The Head Coach will be responsible for:
Leading all aspects of the U17 AAA program
Planning and delivering practices
Creating a competitive, accountable, and positive team culture
Supporting the development pathway toward U18 AAA and junior hockey
Commitment to attend all scheduled practices, games, and team travel throughout the season.
Evaluating player performance and providing ongoing feedback
Communicating effectively with players, parents, staff, and program leadership
Collaborating with the Director of Development and other Raiders coaches to ensure alignment across the program
Supporting player development both on and off the ice, including leadership, character, and habits required for high-level hockey
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Strong leadership and communication skills
A proven ability to teach and develop elite-level players
A commitment to the values and culture of the St. Albert Raiders program
Experience working in high-performance hockey environments
High Performance 1, or in the process of completing.
AAA coaching experience is considered a strong asset.
Compensation
