ABOUT
We are excited to welcome players, coaches, and families to the 45th John Reid Memorial Tournament. This invitational tournament is one of the premier events of its kind in North America and will feature 16 top-calibre U15 prep and U15 AAA teams.
We are pleased that many elite teams have already confirmed their commitment to return to the tournament this year.
The tournament will be held at the Servus Credit Union Place recreation facility, with over 320,000 square feet of leisure and fitness space. The facility has three NHL-sized ice arenas, including the 2,000-seat Go Auto Arena.
The event attracts Western Canadian academies, club teams, and US teams for 4 days of intense competition and highlight-reel hockey. The John Reid Memorial Tournament welcomes hundreds of scouts from the WHL, AJHL and BCHL, and the alumni list features many familiar names, including Jarome Iginla, Jonathan Toews, Matthew Barzal, Tyson Barrie, Colton Parayko and Matt Benning.
Teams that are successful in their application to participate in this event can expect:
PLAYER SCOUTS
Exposure to Player Scouts and General Managers from 22 WHL teams, the AJHL, and the BCHL.
5 Games
A minimum of five, and a maximum of six games (3 - 20 minute stopped time periods / full flood) featuring top quality U15 AAA teams/clubs
LIVE STREAM
All games are streamed on HockeyTV with full play-by-play commentary.
This year we are excited to offer the tournament champion guaranteed acceptance into the 2024 John Reid Memorial Tournament.
