The St. Albert Raiders are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and committed Assistant Coach to join the U15 AAA Sabres coaching staff for the upcoming season.


The U15 AAA program plays a critical role in the Raiders development pathway. It is a stage where players begin preparing for elite junior hockey while continuing to develop the habits, character, and resilience required to succeed at the highest levels of the game.

As an Assistant Coach, you will work alongside the coaching staff in a professional, player-centred environment committed to excellence, collaboration, and development.

You won't coach in isolation.

Our coaching staff work closely together throughout the season, sharing ideas, resources, and best practices across age groups. This collaboration creates consistency throughout the Raiders pathway while providing valuable opportunities for coaches to continue learning from one another.


High Performance Resources

Raiders coaching staffs have access to a growing suite of performance resources, including:

  • Video analysis and game review tools

  • Practice planning support

  • Goaltending development

  • Skills development resources

  • Leadership and culture resources

  • Organizational coaching support throughout the season


Honorarium

Assistant Coaches receive a competitive honorarium that recognizes the time, preparation, travel and commitment required to coach at the AAA level.



We Are Looking For Coaches Who:

  • Demonstrate strong integrity and professionalism.

  • Communicate effectively with players and coaching staff.

  • Be organized, prepared, and attentive to detail.

  • Build meaningful relationships that foster trust, accountability, and player growth.

  • Demonstrate a growth mindset by approaching coaching with curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.

  • Hold, or are willing to obtain, all required Hockey Canada coaching certifications.

  • Previous AAA, junior, or other high-performance coaching and/or playing experience is considered an asset.


Time Commitment

The U15 AAA season includes:


  • Training camp and evaluations

  • Approximately three on-ice sessions each week

  • League games (34)

  • Video review and coach meetings

  • Tournaments (4)


Applicants should be prepared for the commitment associated with coaching in a high-performance environment.
